Abstract

Elevated urca and crealinine after the open prostatectomy in postoperative first day. Bilateral ureterohydro- nephrosis With elevated urea and creatinine was developed in the patient with benign prostatic hyperplasia followed by a suprapubic transvesical open prostatectomy. After the foley catheters balloon deflated from 30ce to 10cc, the clinic changed to the normal limits. The cause of high urea and creatinine level is thought to be pressure effect of the balloon of the catheter to the ureteral orifices.
